Maatkare B, Tashedkhonsu, and Tasherenese, Egyptian queens of the 22nd Dynasty, were wives of Osorkon I (r. 922-887 BC).
Maatkare B was the daughter of Psusennes II.
Maatkare B’s sister was Tentsepeh B.
Maatkare B’s father, Psusennes II (r. 967-943 BC), was the son of Pinedjem II and Isetemkheb D.
Maatkare B's paternal grandparents were Pinedjem II and Isetemkheb D.
Maatkare B was the mother of Shoshenq Q.
Tashedkhonsu is known through the stela of Pasenhor which traces royal lineages back to Buyuwawa, the Libyan considered the ancestor of the Meshwesh, a Berber tribe whose lineage helped produce Egypt’s 22nd Dynasty founded by Shoshenq I.
Tasherenese’s lineage is unknown.
Their husband, Osorkon I, was the son of Shoshenq I (r. 943-922 BC) and Karomama A.
Osorkon I’s siblings were Ano, Iuput A, and Nimlot B.
King Jeroboam I (r. 931-910 BC) of Israel fled from King Solomon (r. 971-931 BC) of Israel and stayed with Shoshenq I until Solomon died.
Jeroboam I’s wife, Ano, was the eldest sister of Pharaoh Shoshenq I’s wife, Queen Tahpenes.
Hadad the Edomite (c. 1011-971 BC) had been taken to Egypt as a young boy where the pharaoh, likely Shoshenq I, welcomed him and later gave him the sister of Queen Tahpenes for a wife. Their son, Genubath, was brought up in the court of Egypt. After the death of David (r. 1011-971 BC) and Joab, Hadad returned to Edom and attempted to stir up the Edomites against the rule of King Solomon (r. 971-931 BC).
Osorkon I was succeeded by Shoshenq II (r. 887-885 BC), who was then succeeded by Takelot I (r. 885-872 BC).
