Kapes, an Egyptian queens of the 22nd Dynasty, was the wife of Takelot I (r. 885-872 BC). Her lineage is unknown.
The stela of Pasenhor traces royal lineages back to Buyuwawa, the Libyan considered the ancestor of the Meshwesh, a Berber tribe whose lineage helped produce Egypt’s 22nd Dynasty founded by Shoshenq I (r. 943-922 BC).
Kapes was the mother of Osorkon II.
Her husband, Takelot I, was the son of Shoshenq I (r. 943-922 BC) and Tashedkhonsu.
Takelot I was succeeded by Osorkon II (r. 872-837 BC), who was then succeeded by Shoshenq III (r. 837-798 BC).
