Queens Ahmose and Mutnofret of Egypt were most likely the daughters of Amenhotep I and Ahmose-Meritamun.
Their parents, Pharaoh Amenhotep I (c. 1524-1503 BC), and Queen Ahmose-Meritamun, were children of Pharaoh Ahmose I (c. 1549-1524 BC) and Queen Ahmose-Nefertari.
Their grandfather, Ahmose I, completed the conquest and expulsion of the Hyksos. Ultimately, he reunified Egypt, and founded the 18th Dynasty and the New Kingdom.
Ahmose was the mother of queen and Pharaoh Hatshepsut (r. 1479-1458 BC), and Princess Neferubity.
Mutnofret was the mother of Pharaoh Thutmose II (r. 1493-1479 BC), and possibly princes Amenmose and Wadjmose.
Their husband, Thutmose I (r. 1503-1493 BC), was the third pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. He was succeeded by his son Thutmose II (r. 1493-1479 BC), who in turn was succeeded by Thutmose II's sister, Hatshepsut (r. 1479-1458 BC).
